Job summary

Join Cleveland Clinic Akron General in Akron, OH as an Endoscopy RN Specialist. You will manage nursing care for all endoscopy patients, coordinating with OR, Radiology, and anesthesia, and delegating within your scope of practice.

Flexibility to cross-train across operative areas is required. Minimum qualifications include an accredited nursing program graduate (ADN or BSN), current Ohio RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 2 years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state of Ohio RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS (within 6 months of hire).
• Two years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for the endoscopy procedure.
• Assess the patient’s pre-op status and vital signs.
• Complete admission documentation and coordinate with the physician.
• Support endoscopic procedures and assist the anesthesia team.
• Ensure safe discharge and post-op documentation.
• Maintain privacy, confidentiality and equipment integrity.
