Job summary

Washington Gastroenterology (WAGI) seeks a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for its Endoscopy Centers. The RN provides direct patient care per physician orders, adheres to nursing standards, and follows Washington state nursing practice guidelines.

The candidate will assess patients, document thoroughly, and participate in sedation procedures as needed. Experience in GI or emergency scenarios is preferred; ACLS within 90 days is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license to practice professional nursing in Washington State.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and evaluates patient needs from admission to discharge, and relays information to the team.
• Maintains complete and timely documentation with patient confidentiality.
• Initiate life support measures and respond effectively in code situations.
• Provide and implement improvements in patient care and participate inQuality Improvement.
• Manage medication knowledge and GI-related sedation considerations.
• Sedation may be administered under physician supervision; deep sedation requires RN circulating duties.
• Maintain IV access and ensure infection prevention and patient safety.
