Job summary

Finger Lakes Health is seeking an Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Endoscopy team at Geneva General Hospital. The role provides patient-centered nursing care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures in a fast-paced setting.

Requires NY State RN license and at least 1 year of acute-care nursing experience, with BLS/ACLS active. Collaboration with physicians and anesthesia teams, along with strong clinical judgment, is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current New York State RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute-care nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures.
• Assess patient needs and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately.
• Promote patient safety, comfort, and dignity throughout the procedure.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and policies.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in on-call coverage as required.
