Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Endoscopy on day shifts in a part-time/PRN role. The RN will apply clinical expertise to a specified patient population, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to support wellness and comfort.

The role requires Virginia RN licensure, BLS, and experience appropriate to Clin I-III levels. Shifts include days, with availability for weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state.
• AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
• Clin I, Clin II, Clin III: required/ preferred experience levels as described.
• Diploma or Associate Degree from a nursing program recognized by the state Board of Nursing.
• If no BSN, must enroll in RN to BSN within 2 years and complete within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and document direct, age-specific care per medical orders and care plan.
• Safely administer prescribed medications and monitor for interactions.
• Coordinate with health care team, provide education and leadership at unit level.
• Shift rotations including days, weekends, and holidays; adapt to unit needs as required.
