Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Endoscopy unit in Birmingham, AL. Schedule is 0600–1400, Monday–Friday with call required.

You will provide direct nursing care, implement care plans, and coordinate discharge planning in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will hold an Alabama RN license, a nursing diploma, and a BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Current RN license by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program and active licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per policies and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor and communicate patient condition to care team.
• Coordinate care with all disciplines for well‑coordinated care.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team.
