Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy to join the team on full-time 8-hour day shifts (6:45am-3:15pm). The role involves direct perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced GI/endoscopy setting, with a 40-hour work week and a $20,000 commitment-incentive bonus.

The ideal candidate will hold a North Carolina RN license, with BLS, ACLS and PALS within required timeframes and 1–2 years of Endoscopy experience. Comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Current NC RN license required; compact licensure acceptable.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• 1–2 years of Endoscopy RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the surgical setting using the nursing process.
• Performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Delivers age-appropriate care based on patient condition.
• Documents medical necessity in the electronic medical record.
• Completes and revises the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate quality assurance assessments.
