• Location: Washington, DC (20007) – prime location for DC nursing jobs
• Facility Setting: Inpatient Endoscopy / PACU (GI Suite)
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 - 17:30), rotating late coverage (07:30-18:00, 08:00-18:30, 08:00-20:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,860 - $1,990
• Patient Population: Pediatrics and Adults
• Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
  
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active DC Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Endoscopy RN and/or PACU RN experience
• Prior travel nursing assignment preferred (will consider candidates without)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting system
• Ability to float within GI Suite per competency
• Two (2) supervisor references required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Comfortable working with both pediatric and adult patients
• Scrubs not provided (any color permitted)
  
  

Endoscopy RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopy and PACU procedures
• Conduct pre-op assessments, patient education, and post-procedure recovery for pediatric and adult patients
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage pain as appropriate
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Float within the GI Suite as needed based on competency
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner
• Participate in follow-up phone calls and patient education initiatives
• Comply with all infection control and safety protocols, including mandatory flu vaccination
