Job summary

ECU Health Medical Center in North Carolina is seeking an Endoscope Reprocessing Technician to clean and disinfect all lab equipment, including endoscopes. The role supports quality monitoring and proper storage of endoscopes, and serves as a resource on disinfection processes for the unit.

Day shift, Monday–Friday, 11:00am–7:00pm. On-call, weekends rotating. ECUs Health Medical Center emphasizes Magnet designation and patient care across a large regional service area.

Qualifications

• BLS and CPR certification required.
• High school diploma or higher.
• Knowledge of high-level disinfection principles.
• Knowledge of high-level disinfection equipment handling.
• Good communication skills.
• CBSPD certification preferred.

Job description

Position Summary

The endoscope reprocessing technician is responsible for the cleaning and disinfection of all lab equipment, including the reprocessing of all endoscopes. The reprocessing technician will assist with monitoring quality related to scope reprocessing and maintain high level disinfection equipment and storage of endoscopes. The endoscope reprocessing technician will also be a resource on the unit for disinfection processes.

Minimum Requirements

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• High School or equivalent is required- or higher.
• Knowlede of principles and practice of high-level disinfection and infection control
• Knowledge of high-level disinfection equipment handling and maintenance
• Good Communication skills
• AHA BLS CPR certification rquired
• CBSPD Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor Preferred

Preferred Requirements

• Endoscopy experience is preferred

Pay Range

$18.01 - $26.25
