College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy is seeking a detail-oriented Reprocessing Tech to support the Endoscopy department. The role requires strong communication across teams and meticulous adherence to aseptic techniques while handling endoscopes and related equipment.
The position involves cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining reprocessing areas, documenting all actions, and ensuring PPE usage and safety compliance. CNA or EMT experience is valued alongside high school education.
Communication skills inter / intra departmentally. The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of age groups. Knowledgeable in aseptic techniques, sterilization principles, sterile storage, and inventory rotation. Familiar with surgical linen, surgical instrumentation, Endoscopy Scopes, Endoscopy Processors, and patient care equipment. Ability to perform precise, detail work in a timely manner
Cleaning and maintenance of endoscopes and equipment.
Cleans and high level disinfects a variety of endoscopes and endoscopic accessories per manufactures guidelines.
Demonstrates proficiency in reprocessing of scopes and equipment.
Maintain scope washers and washer adapters.
Check detergent levels and effectiveness of disinfectant as per policy.
Effectively communicates information regarding scope repairs, loaners, supplies and QI information by maintaining documentation of all actions.
Cleans and maintains reprocessing room.
Wears PPE as per policy, maintains supplies needed for cleaning and reprocessing, and effectively communicates equipment failures and needed repairs.
Accurately records data in appropriate logs. Report malfunctioning equipment to Leadership.
Education/formal training/licensure/certifications/experience:
1. High School Graduate / GED.
2. CNA I and CNA II , GI Experience or Licemsed EMT
3. Experience in surgical and scope processing preferred not required
