Job summary

MU Health Care is seeking a nursing professional to join our Endoscopy Center team at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. The role focuses on setting up equipment, managing data, and delivering therapies with precision to support positive patient outcomes in a fast-paced setting.

The position requires an MO RN license (or compact multi-state licensure) and offers on-site work with a Monday–Friday schedule; nights/weekends/holidays may require call, and shifts start at 6:30–7:30 AM.

Qualifications

• Missouri Board of Nursing RN license or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor medications via IV, analgesia, intramuscular, subcutaneous, topical, and oral routes during procedures as ordered by a physician.
• Monitor vital signs; administer oxygen as ordered; perform hemodynamic monitoring; collect arterial/venous blood samples and respiratory gases; assist in cardiac studies; defibrillate life-threatening arrhythmias under supervision; implement emergency procedures including CPR and defibrillation.
• Develop and contribute to an individualized plan of nursing care.
• Monitor patient status and promptly notify the physician of changes.
• Prepare patients and equipment for catheterization procedures, including site preparation, draping, instrument setup, and calibration of pressure transducers and tubing.
• Assist in general endoscopy and fluoroscopy procedures.
• Transport and assist in patient transfers.
• Perform unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.

Shift: Monday through Friday. 8 or 10 hour shifts starting at 6:30 AM, 7:00 AM, or 7:30 AM. Call required for coverage on nights, weekends, and holidays. Will float between three locations. Work arrangement: On-Site. Department: Endoscopy Center. Facility: University Hospital – 1 Hospital Drive, Columbia, MO. Compensation: Base Pay Range: $33.75 per hour PRN.

Required Qualifications

• Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN licensure. When the primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under the new state within 30 days.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two (2) years of cardiovascular inpatient, acute-care, or invasive procedure RN experience.
• Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
