Job summary

BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Day-shift Endoscopy Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide basic patient care under nursing supervision and assist patients with daily activities in a fast-paced environment.

This entry-level position requires completion of some high school education and a BLS certification within 14 days of hire; preferred candidates may have PCT/CNA certification and related training.

Qualifications

• Must have completed some high school education.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Certification as a PCT or CNA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works in an entry-level position providing basic patient care under nursing supervision.
• Assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observes patients' progress to prepare and disseminate reports to the nurse.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
