2810 Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Inc. is seeking an Endoscopy Nurse to join our team on a part-time basis. Schedule: 30 hours per week with (3) 10-hour day shifts focused on GI procedures, in onsite settings.

The role involves coordinating pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care, administering IV conscious sedation, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes within ICARE standards.

Qualifications

• BSN and MA RN licensure required
• BLS and ACLS certified for Healthcare Providers required
• Gastroenterology nursing experience preferred
• Procedural/ambulatory nursing experience preferred
• Critical care experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Summary

Schedule: 30 hours per week. (3) 10 hours shifts, days

Responsibilities

The Endoscopy nurses coordinate and provide all aspects of nursing care related to care before, during and after procedures, and collaborates with all disciplines to achieve the defined patient outcomes. This role includes caring for patients in the procedure rooms, and providing IV conscious sedation. The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse registered in Massachusetts who is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care as set forth in the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual. The registered nurse demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of patient care and is directly responsible to a designated nurse manager, or supervisor. The Staff Nurse will also assure the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice.

Qualifications

• Previous gastroenterology nursing experience strongly preferred
• Previous procedural/ambulatory nursing experience strongly preferred
• Previous critical care experience strongly preferred

• Ability to demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities
• Ability to adhere to all I.C.A.R.E. standards
