Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking support staff for an Endoscopy Unit, assisting physicians and nurses by cleaning, disinfecting and preparing endoscopic instruments and equipment. You will help during intra-procedural activities and ensure readiness of the procedure room according to facility protocols.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Current CPR certification or must obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Formal training as medical assistant, OR/GI tech, or nursing assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency on the use and troubleshooting of all endoscopic equipment.
• Completes Annual Competency on the Reprocessing of Endoscopy and Accessories.
• Ensures preparation of the procedure room including cleaning and stocking supplies.
• Follows protocol for use, processing, and maintenance of endoscopic equipment.
• Checks equipment for proper functioning and cleanliness prior to use.
• Assists with patient transport and positioning during procedures.
• Acts as part of the procedure room team to complete turnover.
