Job summary

Pacific Medical Centers (PacMed) in Seattle area seeks a qualified Medical Assistant to support GI procedures. This role provides direct patient care under supervision, assists physicians and RNs in diagnostic procedures, and ensures a safe environment by following regulatory standards.

The candidate will maintain patient relationships, contribute to QA and infection control, and participate in ongoing staff development within our patient-focused care culture.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required upon hire (American Heart Association).
• PMC MA Certification required or certified via PMC MA training program.
• SGNA Associates program completion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers direct hands-on patient care under the supervision of RN and Provider.
• Assists Gastroenterology physician and RN during diagnostic procedures.
• Responds to emergency situations as directed and per patient needs.
• Maintains a safe patient and staff environment by complying with regulatory standards.
• Builds and maintains positive relationships with patients, customers, and co-workers.
• Supports quality assurance, infection control, and staff/self-development; fosters a learning environment.
