Job summary

Elegance in Dentistry is seeking an Endodontist to join our established practice in Philadelphia. The clinician will work 2–3 days per week, providing endodontic care including non-surgical root canal therapy, endodontic surgery, and apicoectomies within a supportive team.

Candidates must have an DDS/DMD, completed endodontics residency, and PA licensure, along with strong analytical, communication, and empathetic patient care skills.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree.
• Completion of a post-doctoral residency program in endodontics.
• License to practice dentistry in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing patients' medical history and discussing symptoms.
• Using dental instruments and x-ray equipment to diagnose pain causes.
• Formulating treatment plans based on diagnoses.
• Performing non-surgical root canal treatments.
• Performing endodontic surgery as needed.
• Performing apicoectomies to treat inflammation or infection.
• Maintaining teeth post-treatment.
• Replanting avulsed teeth.
• Completing comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and progress notes.

Endodontist

Our practice is looking for a knowledgeable and experienced endodontist available 2-3 days per week to support our wonderful practice here at Elegance in Dentistry.

You’ll enjoy a friendly, welcoming environment with advanced technology in a busy, established practice boasting a great support team!

Schedule:

2 or 3 Days per week

Endodontist Responsibilities:

• Reviewing patients' medical history and discussing their symptoms and concerns.
• Utilizing dental instruments and x-ray equipment to determine the cause of patients' oral pain and discomfort.
• Formulating suitable treatment plans based on the diagnosed dental condition.
• Performing non-surgical root canal treatment to treat damaged or infected tooth pulp.
• Performing endodontic surgery to clean canals that contain calcium deposits, assist in making accurate diagnoses, and treat damaged root surfaces or surrounding bone.
• Performing apicoectomies to treat persistent inflammation or infection occurring in the bony area around the end of the tooth.
• Maintaining teeth that have previously undergone root canal procedures.
• Replanting teeth that have been knocked out of patients’ mouths.
• Completing a comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and progress notes on each patient.

Endodontist Requirements:

• Doctor of dental surgery (DDS) or Doctor of dental medicine (DMD) degree.
• Completion of a post-doctoral residency program in endodontics.
• License to practice dentistry in Pennsylvania.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Good hand-eye condition.
• A patient and empathetic disposition.
