Automatic Data Processing, Inc. is seeking a qualified Endodontist to join our Fredericksburg, VA practice on a part-time basis. The role focuses on expert endodontic care within a collaborative team, leveraging state-of-the-art technology to serve our well-established patient base.

The ideal candidate will hold a DDS or DMD, complete an endodontics residency, and have an active license or eligibility. ABEO certification is preferred and prior endodontic experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree required.
• Completion of an endodontics residency.
• Active dental license in the state of practice or eligibility to obtain one.
• Certification by the American Board of Endodontics (ABE) preferred.
• Proven experience working as an Endodontist.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and evaluate findings to determine needs and goals.
• Collaborate with dentists and specialists to plan treatment.
• Maintain accurate patient records including notes and results.
• Perform root canal treatment to preserve natural teeth.
• Perform endodontic surgery and apicoectomies as indicated.
• Provide follow-up care and retreatment when needed.

Hours:Flexible scheduling based on the Endodontist's availability.

Endodontist Requirements:

• DDS or DMD degree.
• Completion of a residency program in endodontics.
• Active dental license in the state of practice, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Certification through the American Board of Endodontics (ABE) is preferred.
• Proven experience working as an Endodontist.

Endodontist Responsibilities:

• Consulting with patients and evaluating clinical findings, diagnostic imaging, and patient histories to determine individual needs and treatment goals.
• Collaborating with other dentists and specialists to develop comprehensive, coordinated treatment plans.
• Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records, including appointment notes, clinical findings, diagnostic tests and results, and prescribed treatments.
• Performing root canal treatment to address damaged or infected tooth pulp and preserve natural teeth.
• Performing endodontic surgery, when indicated, to address complex conditions involving calcified canals, support accurate diagnosis, and treat damaged root surfaces or surrounding bone.
• Performing apicoectomies to treat persistent inflammation or infection in the bone surrounding the root tip.
• Evaluating and maintaining teeth that have previously undergone root canal treatment, including providing follow-up care and retreatment as needed.
