Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Physician Leader to serve as Section Chief for Endocrinology, Diabetes, Nutrition, and Weight Management. In this senior role, you will provide strategic and clinical leadership while ensuring equitable care for a diverse patient population.

Your responsibilities include guiding a high-volume clinical enterprise and fostering a collaborative culture in the department. A Medical Degree is required, with preference for board eligibility or certification in Endocrinology. Competitive compensation in the range of $275,000 to $375,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in an academic leadership role is desired.
• Preference for board-eligible or board-certified Endocrinology.

Responsibilities

• Guide clinical enterprise and ensure high-quality, equitable care for a diverse patient population.
• Develop and expand research portfolio spanning basic, translational, clinical, and health-equity studies.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a diverse faculty and workforce.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture.
• Ensure operational and financial sustainability and represent the section in institutional governance.
• Strategically partner with departmental, hospital, and academic leaders.
