Job Summary:

An endocrinologist specializes in diagnosing and treating hormone-related disorders, including diabetes, thyroid issues, and hormonal imbalances. They utilize medical history, tests, and tailored treatments to manage conditions affecting glands such as the thyroid, pancreas, adrenal, and pituitary, aiming to optimize patients' health and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

1. Examine patients, review medical records, and provide diagnoses.
2. Provide medical solutions for diseases and disorders such as diabetes, osteoporosis, cholesterol, and metabolic disorders.
3. Inform patients about complementary health activities and treatments, including diet and exercise.
4. Perform physical exams.
5. Utilize ultrasound-guided biopsies.
6. Be familiar with medical billing procedures.
7. Maintain excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills.

Education, Licensure, and Experience:

1. Current active New York Medical license.
2. Graduate from an accredited Medical School.
3. Board Certified or eligible for the American Board of Endocrinology.
4. Experience in diagnosis, assessment, intervention, and patient care management.
5. Knowledge of the scope of Endocrinology practice.
6. Experience performing and interpreting EMGs and EEGs.
7. Active license and DEA registration.
