Job summary

Essen Health Care in New York is seeking a knowledgeable PA or NP to join our endocrinology team. This role focuses on outpatient diagnosis, treatment, and management of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and pituitary conditions.

You’ll work under collaborative protocols, manage insulin therapies and CGMs, educate patients, and coordinate care with endocrinologists and the broader team.

Qualifications

• Education: PA: Master’s degree; NP: Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing.
• Licensure/Certification: Active PA/NP license; board certification; DEA license; BLS (ACLS preferred).
• Experience: 1–2 years in endocrinology or internal medicine preferred; diabetes technology experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive histories and physicals focused on endocrine conditions.
• Evaluate and manage diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary disorders.
• Initiate and adjust medications including insulin under protocols.
• Interpret labs and imaging related to endocrine pathology.
• Educate patients on disease processes and self-management (CGM, insulin pumps).
• Document findings in EMR and coordinate patient care.
