Saint Alphonsus Health System & Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) seeks a full-time Endocrinologist (MD or DO) to join our diabetes care and education team. The role centers on outpatient care, collaborating with APPs and diabetes educators to expand a diabetes and endocrine clinic, with no after-hours call.

Work M-F, 8am–5pm at Nampa and Meridian locations, serving as a resource for referrals and contributing to marketing and growth of the endocrine services.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Idaho license + DEA registration.
• ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency and Endocrinology fellowship completed.
• Board certification within 3 years of employment.
• Experience in endocrinology or chronic care management preferred.
• Idaho and Oregon medical licensure; telemedicine capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient endocrinology care at our Nampa and Meridian locations.
• Serve as a resource for the multidisciplinary diabetes care team.
• Support referrals from the medical group and collaborate with leadership to grow the endocrinology clinic.
• Partner with system leadership to market and expand diabetes and endocrine services.

Job description

Saint Alphonsus Health System & Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) seek a full time Endocrinologist (MD or DO) to join our team of Advanced Practice Providers and Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialists to expand our diabetes care & education clinic to become a diabetes & endocrine clinic. The ideal physician for this role will have the opportunity to establish a full outpatient focus to their practice using a patient centered approach to care. The primary role of the endocrinologist would be to care for patients in the outpatient setting, being a resource for our multi-disciplinary diabetes team, support referrals from the larger medical group, and partner with system leadership in marketing and growing the endocrinology practice. The schedule consists of working full time, M-F 8am - 5pm, no after hours call. To be a resource to other providers during office hours. Located at our Nampa and Meridian locations.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
• Current, unrestricted MD or DO license in Idaho; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
• Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency program & Endocrinology fellowship program.
• Board certified or obtain certification within 3 years employment.
• Previous experience in Endocrinology disease management or chronic care management preferred.
• A strong medical background and a desire to develop a practice to support a growing multi-specialty medical group. In providing this support, you will obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure to maintain and strengthen the Health Systems general internal program across all communities we serve, including telemedicine.
• Obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC- Boise, SAMC- Nampa, and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed
• Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
• Commitment to supporting a welcoming environment and patient focused clinic for patients, families, and referring providers.
