Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA).
• ND MAIII registration required within 4 months of hire; supervise meds until MAIII obtained.

Responsibilities

• Collect subjective and objective health data from patient or caregiver and relay to healthcare provider.
• Follow the patient’s plan of care under provider direction.
• Explain the provider’s care instructions to patient or caregiver.
• Support care across the lifespan in all phases of preventative care and treatment.
• Obtain vital signs, prepare for examinations, observe symptoms, and perform point-of-care testing.
