Job summary

Texas Tech Physicians Endocrinology and Diabetes Center of Excellence in west Texas seeks a Board-certified Endocrinologist for a full-time, outpatient-focused practice in our clinic. You will evaluate patients, manage diabetes and thyroid disorders, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role includes delivering lectures and training to our Endocrinology Fellows, residents, and medical students, contributing to quality care, research, and program growth.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent.
• Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency.
• Completion of, or in the process of completing, an Endocrinology Fellowship.
• Ability to obtain a Texas Medical License.
• Foreign Medical Graduates Only: ECFMG Certification OR Equivalency Certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients through obtaining medical history and evaluating patient symptoms.
• Orders studies, tests and ancillary services.
• Prescribes medications, hormone replacement therapies and lifestyle adjustments for treatment plans.
• Provides ongoing care for diabetes, thyroid diseases, osteoporosis, PCOS, etc.
• Coordinates care by working with other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Documents all services in patient medical record.
• Participates in quality improvement and other patient care programs.
• Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.
• Participate in bedside teaching and lectures for fellows, residents and medical students.
