Job summary

Atlas Search is helping a respected New York health system recruit an Endocrinologist in Queens to join a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive endocrine care.

The successful candidate will manage diabetes, thyroid disorders, pituitary conditions, metabolic bone diseases, and adrenal disorders, while collaborating with PCPs, nurses, and dietitians. MD/DO, Internal Medicine residency, and Endocrinology fellowship are required along with NY licensure.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completed residency in Internal Medicine.
• Completed fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
• Eligible for unrestricted NY State medical licensure.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first approach.
• A collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Manage diabetes care – lifestyle guidance, medication management, and insulin therapy.
• Evaluate and treat pituitary disorders such as growth hormone deficiency, Cushing’s syndrome, and prolactinomas.
• Deliver personalized care for a broad range of endocrine conditions, from diagnosis through treatment planning.
• Treat metabolic bone diseases including osteoporosis and osteomalacia.
• Diagnose and manage thyroid conditions like hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, and nodules.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of PCPs, nurses, dietitians, and specialists.
• Manage adrenal disorders, including Addison’s disease and adrenal insufficiency.
• Educate patients and families on self-management and treatment options.
• Contribute to hospital quality initiatives and committee work.

The annual base salary range is $280,000 to $325,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
