Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a registered nurse to direct and manage patient care in the Outpatient Endocrinology Testing department at LVH-Cedar Crest. You will mentor staff and liaise with internal and external customers regarding endocrine testing.

Responsibilities include scheduling, triaging, educating, and delivering direct patient care in the endocrine testing lab; collaborating with pharmacy and lab to ensure timely tests and medications; and helping develop clinical protocols with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; 2 years nursing experience preferred.
• Pediatric IV skills required.
• Strong problem solving abilities required.
• BLS certification state of PA Upon Hire.
• ACLS certification state of PA Upon Hire.
• RN license PA required upon hire.
• PALS preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, triages, coordinates, educates, and delivers direct patient care in the Endocrine Testing lab.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for designated patients.
• Documents notes, treatments, testing, and procedures performed for endocrine patients.
• Collaborates with inpatient pharmacy to ensure medications are available on testing days.
• Collaborates with lab to ensure proper turnaround times for tests.
• Communicates with DCC registration staff about special needs for endocrine patients.
