Qualifications

• NYS nursing license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general support for the outpatient Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism team.
• Deliver nursing expertise in the care of a specialized patient population.
• Provide clinical and administrative support for the providers in the Division of Endocrinology.
• Triage and respond to phone calls.
• Perform dynamic endocrine tests.
• Teach insulin administration and blood glucose monitoring.
• Instruct patients on IM and subcutaneous injections.
• Download data and troubleshoot devices.
• Support peers in the delivery of patient care services.
• Assume expanded roles such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
