Job summary

The Woman's Hospital of Texas, part of the HCA Healthcare network, is seeking an Endoscopy Technician PRN to assist with GI and endoscopy procedures. You will prepare rooms and instruments, help position patients safely, and support surgeons and nurses during procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning and sterilizing equipment, maintaining records, and communicating with patients with empathy while protecting privacy and comfort throughout care.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare endoscopy rooms and equipment, ensure proper working order and stock supplies.
• Assist with patient positioning and safe transport using proper body mechanics.
• Support physicians and nurses during procedures, handling instruments and specimens.
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopy equipment and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate with patients and families with kindness, ensuring privacy and comfort.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Endoscopy Technician, you'll play an important role in helping provide safe, effective procedures to patients undergoing GI and endoscopy procedures. Your careful work preparing equipment and maintaining a clean, well-organized environment will help protect patients and empower caregivers to deliver on our shared mission to improve more lives in more ways.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment, verifying equipment is in proper working order, and keeping supplies organized and stocked
• Helping position and transport patients safely and comfortably while using proper body mechanics to protect both patients and yourself
• Supporting physicians and nurses during procedures, including handling instruments, collecting specimens, and following proper safety practices
• Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopy equipment, and keeping accurate records for quality and safety
• Communicating with kindness and compassion to patients and families, keeping them informed, and supporting their privacy and comfort throughout their care

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support
• High School Graduate / GED
• 1 or more years of Experience is Required.
