Job summary

St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK is seeking a FT Days Surgical Tech to support the operating room team with meticulous preparation and sterile technique. You will assist the surgeon, handle instrument trays, and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.

Ideal candidates have a Surgical Tech program credential, BLS, and good communication skills; six months of experience preferred. This role offers exposure to diverse cases and opportunities within Universal Health Services

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Graduate of an approved Surgical Technical Program or on the job scrub tech training required.
• Six (6) months experience preferred
• BLS certification required.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates correct Materials Management (instruments, sponges, needles, etc.)
• Displays various transfer techniques with sharps, as needed.
• Counting of surgical objects as required per policy.
• Accountability and care of surgical specimens.
• Consistently practices procedures to protect self and others and adheres to OSHA exposure plan guidelines.

Position Summary
