Job summary

UVA Community Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse in Surgical Services-ENDO with Endoscopy/ICU or ER experience. The RN will lead nursing care, collaborate with physicians, and coordinate care plans for diverse patient populations in a fast-paced setting.

We offer a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates and require standard RN licensure with CPI certification timelines. This role operates 20 hours per week with typical hours 7a-5:30p and on-call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; 4 Year/Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in applicable state; CPI certification within three months of hire for Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, and CSSO.
• Must have ENDO experience or 2 years of ICU/ED.

Responsibilities

• Lead the healthcare team and collaborate with physicians to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Administer medications and perform nursing interventions including IV starts and dressing changes.
• Provide patient education and support with the care plan and family involvement.
• Support call responsibilities as required and coordinate with teams across departments.
