Job summary

Surgicare of Sugar Land is seeking an Endoscopy Tech to support GI/Endoscopy procedures under the direction of a GI/Endoscopy Nurse. You will help maintain a sanitary environment, ensure sterile equipment, and prepare rooms and supplies for procedures.

The role requires a Surgical Technology program background and at least one year of acute care experience, with valid BCLS certification upon employment. Join a center within HCA Healthcare’s network and contribute to patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
• One-year acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable)

• Maintain a sanitary environment for the patient.
• Demonstrate knowledge of high disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment.
• Prepare the endoscopy unit adequately and ensure availability of necessary GI equipment and supplies.
• Clean GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepare rooms for the next case.
• Assist in the maintenance, care and labeling of specimens.
• Identify specimen with the surgeon and pass to the circulating RN.

Job Summary and Qualifications
