Job summary

RTX Corporation (old) in Cambridge, MA is offering a co-op position targeted at students pursuing Cybersecurity or Computer Science. You will assist with installing, repairing, upgrading, and backing up IT systems, coordinate telephone installations and removals, and set up AV equipment for conference rooms to support collaboration.

Ideal candidates are actively pursuing a bachelor's degree with hands-on experience in Mac/PC hardware, Windows Server, Linux, and Active Directory, plus familiarity

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
• Experience with Mac and PC hardware, and Windows/macOS/Linux environments.
• Experience using MS Office Suite and Outlook.
• Foundational networking knowledge (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN).

What Will You Do

Qualifications You Must Have

• Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field through the duration of the co-op.
• Experience with Mac and PC hardware, including laptops and desktops, as well as a solid understanding of Windows 11, Windows Server, Active Directory, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
• Experience using MS Office Suite and Outlook.
• Foundational understanding of network principles, including TCP/IP and LAN/WAN.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Understanding of networking essentials, including common ports and protocols, DHCP, DNS, switching/routing, firewalls, etc.
• Experience using Atlassian software products such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD.
