Job summary

Arista Networks is seeking a high-caliber Solution test engineer to ensure the quality of Arista’s products through system test of large, complex environments that emulate key customer networks. You will collaborate with development, sales and other test teams to design topologies, configure hardware and tools, and execute exhaustive test plans.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in telecommunications, computer engineering or computer networking.
• 3+ years in a System test or Solution test role for complex end-to-end environments.
• Deep knowledge of layer 2/3 networks (IP forwarding, OSPF, BGP, VXLAN, MPLS, EVPN).
• Proficiency with Linux tools (ping, traceroute, tcpdump, iperf, strace).
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or TCL.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development, sales and test teams to understand requirements.
• Plan and build network topologies to test use cases.
• Configure hardware, traffic generators and tools to emulate environments.
• Execute exhaustive test plans focusing on performance and scale.
• Troubleshoot failures and document root causes and fixes.
• Present results and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
