Job summary

The Trade Desk is seeking a software engineer with 4+ years of experience to design and build scalable ad-tech systems. You will work on an omnichannel stack spanning identity, measurement, and bidding, delivering end-to-end solutions with a focus on reliability and performance.

You will collaborate across teams in a distributed, agile environment, mentoring peers and translating business needs into concrete technical plans.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with distributed systems and backend development.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, or Python.
• Solid computer science fundamentals.
• Able to work on an agile, distributed team across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Design and build systems that orchestrate advertising across channels for unified narratives.
• Collaborate with identity, measurement, and bidding teams to integrate capabilities into omnichannel solutions.
• Own projects end to end from design to production rollout and operation.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into concrete designs and execution plans.
• Deliver high-quality changes with automated tests, metrics, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define success and drive results.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of trust and ownership.
