Job summary

Bombas, based in New York City, seeks a Designer, Footwear to join the Product Design team on a temporary, full-time basis. The role covers the full design process from concept to market, including tech packs, PLM, fit sessions, and construction details.

You will work closely with Merchandising, Planning, and Product Development to keep styles moving on schedule. The position is a temporary assignment of approximately six months, with opportunities to influence multiple seasons and both adult

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of footwear design experience.
• Experience building tech packs and PLM data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own footwear design across adult and youth categories in flight, from concept to final order placement.
• Make independent design decisions to meet calendar milestones.
• Build and manage tech packs and PLM data with precision for Technical Design and Product Development.
• Partner with Technical Design and Product Development on fit sessions and construction details.
• Hold multiple seasons and categories in flight against seasonal calendars.
• Filter feedback from Merchandising, Planning, Technical Design, and Design leadership into clear decisions and communicate them across teams.
• Work with the Assistant Designer as a day-to-day partner, offering guidance and support.
• Own tech packs, specs, PLM data, and the related administrative work.
• Maintain clear documentation and handoffs.
