About The Role

End of Line Technician

Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms.

We are looking for a highly skilled End of Line Technician to join our growing team. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and functionality of the mechanical and electrical systems in our autonomous surface vessels before they are delivered to the DoD. We are hiring technicians with a mechanical background, an electrical background, or both — depth in one discipline with a working familiarity of the other is welcome. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with assembly, troubleshooting, testing, and final inspection of complex systems. You will work closely with engineers and production teams to perform rigorous tests and ensure all systems meet stringent specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform end-of-line testing, troubleshooting, and validation of vessel systems prior to delivery

  • Conduct final checks and diagnostics on propulsion systems, drive shafts, motors, actuators, and structural assemblies

  • Conduct final checks and diagnostics on wiring harnesses, circuit boards, sensors, and related electrical components

  • Use mechanical tooling including torque wrenches, hydraulic presses, and vibration analyzers

  • Use diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power analyzers

  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, and technical specifications

  • Identify and resolve system failures, escalating to engineering where corrective action is required

  • Collaborate with engineering to interpret test results and implement corrective actions

  • Ensure all systems meet performance, quality, safety, and compliance standards before vessels ship

  • Maintain detailed logs of all test results, repairs, and modifications

  • Assist with setup and calibration of production test equipment

  • Follow safety and industry standards, including ESD best practices for electrical work

  • Provide feedback to design and engineering teams to improve products and streamline testing

  • Support troubleshooting on prototype vessels and new vessel designs

Qualifications

  • 3+ years as a mechanical technician, electrical technician, or similar role, ideally in high-tech manufacturing

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, or both, including assembly and troubleshooting

  • Proficiency with mechanical tooling and/or electrical diagnostic tools relevant to your discipline

  • Hands‑on experience with assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of complex systems

  • Familiarity with industry safety and compliance standards such as ASME, IPC, or MIL‑STD

  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality results

  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with autonomous systems, unmanned vehicles, or defense technologies

  • Propulsion and power transmission assembly or integration experience in unmanned vehicles

  • Familiarity with embedded systems, sensors, and controllers used in autonomous vessels

  • Knowledge of software tools used for mechanical or electrical system testing and diagnostics

  • Cross‑disciplinary capability across both mechanical and electrical systems

Physical Demands

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours/day

  • Frequently and repetitively lift, push, and carry up to 20 lbs

  • The ability to carry 20 lbs up and down stairs

  • Ability to work outside for an extended period of time

  • Frequently and repetitively bend, lift, and reach to install vehicle parts of varying size and weight overhead, accurately and in allotted timeframes

  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain

  • Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist, and crawl for extended periods of time

  • Climb and maintain balance on ladders, platforms, or other high structures

  • Ability to find issues in a work process and be alert to safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing

  • Demonstrated ability to handle and manipulate tooling and mechanically fasten bolts within required cycle time

  • Exposure to hazardous materials and ability to follow waste handling/disposal procedures
