Job summary

STATE STREET CORPORATION is seeking an Encryption‑as‑a‑Service Platform Engineer to advance enterprise encryption and key management across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will partner with application, infrastructure, and platform teams to onboard new use cases and integrate centralized encryption services into business solutions.

You will help design self‑service capabilities, automation, and runbooks, while supporting documentation and compliant operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, platform engineering, or related tech.
Experience supporting encryption, key management, secrets management, or cloud security solutions.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP.
Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code.
Strong collaboration and communication across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

Support development and ongoing enhancement of enterprise encryption and key management services across cloud and on-premises environments.
Partner with application, infrastructure, and platform teams to onboard new use cases and integrate centralized encryption capabilities.
Design self-service capabilities, automation, and operational processes to improve scalability and usability of encryption services.
Maintain service documentation, onboarding procedures, and runbooks.
Implement integrations with centralized key management platforms and cloud-native KMS.
Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution with stakeholders.
