Job summary

BPL Enclosure Engineering is seeking an Intermediate Enclosure Consultant in Atlanta, GA to apply engineering principles to building enclosure design and evaluation. You will help prevent water intrusion, energy loss, and deterioration while ensuring reliable performance across projects.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, budgets, and proposals; conducting field observations; preparing reports; and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of design/construction related work.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budgets and proposals for enclosure services across diverse projects.
• Review construction documents including drawings, specs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Evaluate existing buildings to identify enclosure issues and develop repair designs.
• Prepare reports summarizing methodologies, observations, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Attend design phase, pre-construction and construction progress meetings to provide technical input.
• Conduct field observations of enclosure construction for code and standard compliance.
• Create field observation reports and document quality issues affecting performance.
• Perform diagnostic testing to ASTM and AAMA standards and document results.
• Mentor and train staff on enclosure engineering practices.
• Periodically travel to project sites outside the local metro area as needed.
