Job summary

Medcor is hiring an EMT to join our onsite health clinic in Buffalo, NY. The role supports patient care, RTW programs, and case management within a 24/7 operation. Part-time eight-hour shifts on first, second, or third shift are available; compensation is $25 per hour.

The Onsite Health Technician will work closely with Medcor leadership and client staff, handling documentation, routine care, and collaboration for safety and wellness initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current EMT license in good standing.
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer tasks and EMR software.

Medcor is looking to hire an EMT to be an Onsite Health Technician in an occupational health clinic setting in Buffalo NY. This clinic operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The shifts are eight hours each for either first, second or third shift on a Part Time basis. This role pays 25hr.

The positions responsibilities include collaborative work with the medical and operational leadership at Medcor local medical providers client staff with key contacts within the clients corporate structure.

The day to day role of the Onsite Health Technician includes patient care ongoing workers compensation case management Return to Work RTW program facilitation and treatment plan monitoring.

A typical day in the life of a Onsite Health Technician.

Responsibilities

  • work closely with outside medical providers
  • additional duties include supporting the site security team functions and activities
  • Participate in daily operations at Medcors on site clinic
  • Provide superior customer service to Medcors client and employees
  • Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcors Evidence Based Medicine protocols known as the Medcor Care Protocols (MCPs)
  • Build and maintain internal team relationships
  • Support for onsite employee health and wellness efforts
  • Pre employment and post offer screenings
  • Documentation of care using state of the art EMR and other tools
  • Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)
  • Case Management
  • Medical charting
  • OSHA record keeping
  • Observes safety and security procedures
  • Reports potentially unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel
  • Monitor CCTV and all alarm systems
  • Provide visitor passes and enforce visitor and access control procedures
Qualifications
  • You Must LOVE what you do
  • Have valid licensure for the position in which you are applying
  • Have current CPRBLS
  • Have strong computer and other technology skills navigate cell phones texting fax machines etc as well as familiarity with EMR software
  • Be strong enough to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
  • Possess excellent verbal written communication skills
  • Have a positive and outgoing personality
  • Be willing to go above and beyond just because thats who you are
  • Be passionate about people and giving them the best care humanly possible
  • Be able to have fun
  • Its a Plus If You are comfortable working in a worksite clinic industrial environment
  • You have relevant occupational health experience
  • You have experience in emergency medicine or critical care
