Job summary

Medcor is hiring a full-time EMT, Paramedic, or LPN to serve as an Onsite Health Technician in our employer-based occupational health clinic in Nevada, IA. You will provide first aid, triage, and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses, while supporting employee health, wellness, and education.

You will help manage day-to-day clinic operations and collaborate with client Safety and Human Resources teams.

Qualifications

• EMT, Paramedic, or LPN licensure/certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Ability to work independently with strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computers, electronic medical records, and other technology.
• Ability to lift a 50-pound emergency response bag.
• Positive, professional, and patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid, triage, assessment, and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses.
• Evaluate injured employees and guide care using evidence-based protocols.

• Support ongoing case management and Return-to-Work efforts.
• Coordinate care with outside medical providers, urgent care centers and hospitals when needed.
• Perform pre-employment and post-offer screenings.
• Support employee health, wellness, and education initiatives.
• Manage daily clinic operations and health service functions.
• Maintain accurate documentation using EMR and other systems.
• Order and maintain clinic supplies.

Medcor is looking to hire a full-time EMT, Paramedic, or LPN to serve as an Onsite Health Technician in our employer-based occupational health clinic in Nevada, IA.

This is a great opportunity for an EMT, Paramedic, or LPN who enjoys hands-on patient care but is looking for a consistent schedule and a different way to use their clinical skills.

In this role, you'll provide first aid, triage, and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses while supporting employee health, wellness, and education. You'll also help manage the day-to-day operations of the onsite clinic and work closely with the client's Safety and Human Resources teams.

You'll work independently onsite, but you won't be on your own—support is available remotely from your Medcor Operations Manager, clinical resources, and other Medcor team members.

A Typical Day in the Life of a Medcor Onsite Health Technician

Clinical Care & Injury Management

• Provide first aid, triage, assessment, and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses
• Evaluate injured employees and guide care using Medcor's evidence-based treatment protocols
• Respond to workplace medical situations and coordinate additional care when appropriate
• Support ongoing case management and Return-to-Work efforts
• Coordinate care with outside medical providers, urgent care centers, and hospitals when needed
• Perform pre-employment and post-offer screenings
• Conduct Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)
• Support employee health, wellness, and education initiatives

Clinic Operations

• Manage daily clinic operations and health service functions
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records and other systems
• Order and maintain clinic supplies
• Follow established clinical, operational, and compliance processes
• Support OSHA recordkeeping and required documentation
• Partner with client Safety, Human Resources, and Benefits professionals
• Build strong relationships with employees and client stakeholders
• Provide exceptional customer service to the client and their employees
• Complete general administrative responsibilities associated with the onsite clinic

What You'll Need

• Current EMT, Paramedic, or LPN licensure/certification applicable to the position
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to work independently with strong time-management and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable using computers, electronic medical records, and other technology
• Ability to lift a 50-pound emergency response bag
• A positive, professional, and patient-focused approach
• Passion for providing excellent care and creating a positive employee experience

It's a Plus If You Have

• Occupational health or worksite clinic experience
• Workers' compensation or case management experience
• Experience working independently in a clinical environment
