  • Shifts: Part-time, Full-time, Night Shift, Weekends
  • Hourly Wage: $31.50 an hour
Summary

Providing emergency and non-emergency patient transport, collaborating with fire, police, medical staff, patients, and families to deliver high-quality care and customer service. Duties include performing or assisting with patient care activities in pre-hospital and hospital settings, providing supportive and definitive care, and ensuring safety and compliance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Administer Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Education for Pre-Hospital Professionals (PEEP), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Assess and treat medical or trauma situations using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within established protocols and standards.
  • Document all patient care and EMS responses accurately and thoroughly.
  • Maintain all equipment, vehicles, supplies, logs, and records.
  • Operate EMS vehicles and equipment safely and according to policy.
  • Promote a safe work environment and practices.
  • Report to work on time; be prepared for shift extensions and mandatory overtime.
  • Work various shifts as required.
  • Follow all policies and procedures, attend required training, and comply with uniform and equipment standards.
  • Participate in community outreach and educational programs about EMS services.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current NY State EMT-P Certification and certifications in CPR, PALS, ACLS.
  • Valid driver’s license meeting company standards.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening including drug test, background check, and physical agility test (CPAT).
  • Minimum age 18, High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • National Registry Paramedic Certification.
  • Westchester REMAC, Hudson Valley REMAC, and NYC REMAC Certifications (if applicable).
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Work involves outdoor and indoor environments with exposure to hazards, blood/body fluids, noise, and confined spaces. Physical demands include lifting up to 150 pounds unassisted and up to 300 pounds with assistance, frequent standing, walking, and various physical movements, with specific vision requirements.
