Medcor is seeking a full-time EMT or Paramedic for an 8-week onsite health technician position in an employer-based occupational health clinic in East Hanover, NJ. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with pay at $30–$34 per hour depending on licensure and experience.

There is potential to remain as a permanent PRN and grow within the company. Candidates must hold current licensure, CPR/BLS, and be capable of lifting up to 50 lb in this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Document care using EMR and maintain records.
  • Case management and coordination with clinical leadership.
  • OSHA record-keeping and compliance tasks.

EMT or Paramedic (Full-time, Short-term)

Medcor is looking to hire a full-time EMT or Paramedic on a short-term basis (8 weeks) to be an Onsite Health Technician in an employer based, occupational health clinic setting in East Hanover, NJ.. The work environment is in a modern, global pharma facility, focusing on occupational health and acute/episodic care. The clinic operates Monday thru Friday, from 8:00AM EST to 4:30PM EST.

This position pays $30-34/hr. based upon licensure and experience.

After the assignment is complete you will be able to stay on as a permanent PRN, as needed advocate. There is potential for long-term.

The Onsite Health Technician for Medcor will provide excellent primary clinical care in an occupational and urgent care health clinic and will provide supervision and oversight for the Medcor clinic including the allied healthcare staff. The position’s responsibilities also include collaborative work with the medical and operational leadership at Medcor, and with key contacts within the client’s corporate structure.

A typical day in the life of a Onsite Health Technician

  • Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic
  • Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees
  • Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols, known as the Medcor Care Protocols (MCPs)
  • Build and maintain internal team relationships
  • Support for onsite employee health and wellness efforts
  • Pre‑employment and post‑offer screenings
  • Documentation of care using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools
  • Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)
  • Case Management
  • Medical charting
  • OSHA record‑keeping

You Must

  • LOVE what you do
  • Have valid licensure for the position in which you are applying
  • Have current CPR/BLS
  • Have strong computer and other technology skills (navigate cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc), as well as familiarity with EMR software
  • Be strong enough to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
  • Possess excellent verbal / written communication skills
  • Have a positive and outgoing personality
  • Be willing to go above and beyond just because that’s who you are
  • Be passionate about people and giving them the best care humanly possible
  • Be able to have fun

  • You are comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment
  • You have relevant occupational health experience
  • You have experience in emergency medicine or critical care
