Lynx EMS in Shelby, OH is seeking a Night Shift EMT to provide uninterrupted patient transport across the region during overnight hours.

This full-time role requires EMT certification, a valid driver's license, strong clinical assessment, and the ability to work independently with dispatch and hospital partners. Night differential applies to hourly pay.

You will respond to calls, assess patients, document accurately, and maintain the ambulance and equipment while upholding safety and compliance.

Pay: $21 per hour plus differential for night shift

Position Overview – Night Shift

As a Night Shift EMT in Sandusky, you will play a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted patient care across the region during overnight hours. Night operations demand heightened awareness, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to work independently while maintaining seamless communication with dispatch and healthcare partners.

This role is ideal for professionals who excel in a focused, fast-paced environment and are committed to providing exceptional patient care when communities need it most. Night shift team members support emergency responses, interfacility transfers, late-night hospital discharges, and time-sensitive transports that require reliability, professionalism, and composure.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to emergency and non-emergency calls during overnight hours
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in accordance with state regulations and company protocols
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ensure accurate, timely documentation
• Safely operate the ambulance in nighttime and low-visibility conditions
• Maintain readiness of assigned unit, including cleaning, restocking, and equipment checks
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, hospitals, and healthcare staff to ensure coordinated care
• Adhere strictly to safety standards, compliance requirements, and operational procedures
• Demonstrate sound decision-making and situational awareness in high-pressure environments

What We’re Looking For

• Current State EMT Certification (or reciprocity eligible)
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to remain alert, focused, and professional during overnight shifts
