  • Documents and reports medical incidents to site security management.

  • Monitors entrances/exits and vehicle movement; operates gate and CCTV.

Job description

  • Administers medical treatment to sick or injured persons and arranges for transport to medical facility.
  • Determines nature and extent of illness or injury.
  • Establishes medical treatment procedures to be followed; basing decisions on statements of persons involved, examination of victim(s), and administration of emergency medical procedures in accordance with licensure and as approved by GM Medical.
  • Administers medical treatment at location of emergency, performing such activities as applying splints; administering oxygen or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR); treating minor wounds or abrasions; and providing patient status to receiving medical personnel.
  • Documents and reports all medical incidents to site security management as directed by site Emergency Response Plan.
  • Controls access to General Motors facility through the admittance process; assists visitors with legitimate need to gain entry to the facility; screens visitors and General Motors employees in an efficient manner in order to expedite their admittance to the facility.
  • Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner. Provides a courteous and pleasant interaction with each General Motors employee and visitor.
  • Monitors entrances and exits; acts to prevent unauthorized entry; controls entrances, the movement of people and vehicles, and parking; operates gate and examines vehicle contents; monitors remote entrances using closed circuit television; and operates remote access devices.
  • Conducts foot or vehicle patrols to ensure a secure work environment. Patrols include inspecting high risk areas and fire prevention and protection equipment; ensuring egress and ingress are accessible; and checking for unsafe conditions.
  • Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information of others.
  • Prepares incident reports, daily logs, etc. as required by General Motors Global Security standards.
  • Responds to emergencies including fire, medical, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents or conditions in accordance with General Motors Global Security standards.
  • Maintains all required documentation regarding technical security systems.
  • Assures compliance with applicable sections of the General Motors Global Security Manual and Standard Operating Procedures.
