Job summary

Grifols, S.A. is seeking a Center Medical Specialist for our plasma donation centers in Raleigh, NC. The role requires EMT-B, EMT-A, Paramedic or RN/LPN licensure with current CPR certification.

Center Medical Specialist – Plasma Donation Center

Seeking EMTB, EMTA, Paramedic, or LPN for a Center Medical Specialist position in our plasma donation centers.

• Perform physical examinations and establish medical history to determine donor suitability.
• Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
• Ensure donor and staff confidentiality.
• Educate donors about potential hazards and unacceptable test results.
• Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events.
• Perform evaluations of any history of illness or medications to maintain donor suitability.
• Assist in employee training and administer employee Hepatitis Vaccine program.

Job Requirements

Educated and currently certified/licensed as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT in the state of employment. Current CPR certification required.

Required Attributes

• Work performed standing and sitting for up to 2‑4 hours per day.
• Ability to bend and twist neck for 1‑2 hours per day.
• Frequent hand movements and precise coordinated manipulation.
• Occasional foot movement, squatting, crouching, or walking as needed.
• Light lifting of up to 15 lbs.; maximum lift of 50 lbs.; reach below shoulder height; hearing acuity essential.
• Color discrimination, near vision, and far vision correctable to 20/30 and 20/100, respectively.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Works independently under oral or written guidance.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with diverse groups.
• Work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential infectious organisms.
• Exposure to electrical equipment, extreme cold below 32 °F; personal protective equipment required.

Compensation

Estimated pay based on licensure level: EMTB $20‑22 per hour, EMTA $22‑24 per hour, Paramedic $24‑27 per hour, LPN $28‑32 per hour. Eligible to participate in up to 4% of the company bonus pool. Final compensation depends on education, experience, skillset, location, internal equity, and market data.
