Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking an EMT-Intermediate to deliver high-quality direct patient care within the PresNow 24/7 hybrid ED/urgent care model in Albuquerque, NM. You will work under supervision of RNs and ED physicians, performing IV therapy, phlebotomy, airway support, meds administration, splinting, and POC testing to optimize throughput and patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Completion of EMT-Intermediate (EMT-I) course required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• 1–2 years of experience preferred but not required.
• Background: medical technician or military training preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• On-the-job training and annual department competency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Emergency Interventions & Clinical Scope: IV therapy, medication administration per orders, advanced airway support, wound care, and POC testing.
• Clinical workflow: vitals, escalation, invasive procedures, phlebotomy, and transport.
• Unit operations: equipment stocking, sterile prep, sanitation, and infection control.
• Communication & EMR: precise charting and structured handoffs, patient education.
