Job summary

Responsibilities include emergency medical response, patient assessments, and maintaining equipment. Candidates should have completed an EMT course and hold a valid certification. Experience in a correctional setting is preferred. Competitive pay ranging from $21.60 to $24 per hour with additional benefits.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or G.E.D.
• Requires successful completion of an Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic course.
• Prior experience in a correctional or jail setting preferred.
• Requires unrestricted current certification or registration in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical response and basic life support to inmate patients.
• Assess and document medical history and treatment of inmate patients.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and sterilization during examinations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Communicate with coworkers and assist in job duties.
