Job summary

Symbiosis is hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to support out-of-hospital care across southern California. Roles include Interfacility Transport and Event Safety, with in-person shifts and flexible scheduling.

Pay starts at $17 per hour with part-time to full-time opportunities, on-site work, and opportunities for CPR training and continuing education. Ideal candidates hold a California EMT license, a clean driving record, and a strong commitment to patient care.

Qualifications

• California state EMT card required.
• American Heart Association or Red Cross CPR Certification required.
• CA driver’s license with excellent driving record.
• Medical Examiner’s Certificate required.
• Ambulance Driver’s Certificate (ADC) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide EMT shift coverage based on call volume needs.
• Responds to dispatch instructions and drives the emergency vehicle to locations.
• Determines nature and extent of illness or injury to establish basic life support procedures.
• Removes or assists in removing victims from vehicles or scenes and transfers to facilities.
• Takes and records vital signs (BP, pulse, resp rate).
• Administers prescribed treatment on-site or in ambulances for BLS/ALS procedures.
• Assists with obtaining patient information for billing and transport justification.
• Completes field care reports and daily unit checkout forms.
• Assist with equipment, medication, and supply inventory management.
• On-call coverage.
