Job summary

A healthcare service provider is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)/First Responder in Salt Lake City, UT. This role provides safety monitoring and immediate BLS response during Physical Fitness Exams for the Postal Service. The position requires current state EMT-B and BLS certifications, and 1-2 years of related experience. The pay is $35.87 per hour with up to 40 hours a week. The EMT will prepare testing environments, monitor health risks, and ensure participant safety during testing.

Qualifications

• Current state EMT-B certification is required.
• 1–2 years of field experience responding to medical events in fitness, athletic, or occupational environments.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dismantle testing environments at assigned locations.
• Monitor applicant health status during testing activities.
• Assess and provide first aid and basic emergency care.
• Maintain readiness of the first aid kit.
• Document all medical incidents thoroughly.
• Assist in implementing preventative measures and conducting safety checks.
• EMT typically works three hours per event.
