Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician Advanced AHF to join the Floyd EMS - Ambulance Services team in Summerville, GA. The part-time EMT provides pre-hospital care and safe patient transport under supervision, adhering to Advocate EMS standards and patient safety protocols.

This role requires EMT-A certification, BLS, and state licensure, with compensation within the stated pay range.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• State-approved EMT course required.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support.
• Current EMT-A certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current Basic Trauma Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic to intermediate emergency and non-emergency care to the sick and injured.
• Assess illness and/or injury, manage patient care, and prepare for transport.
• Transfer information and ensure patient care continuity throughout the EMS process.
• Work under supervision of the EMS Director, Assistant Directors, Supervisor and Medical Director to uphold Advocate EMS standards.

Education

High school diploma or GED

State-approved Emergency Medical Technician course

Valid Driver's license and driving record in accordance with facility policy

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support

Current applicable state Emergency Medical Technician certification (EMT-A)

Current advanced cardiac life support certification of audit or equivalent

Current basic trauma life support certification of audit or exactle
