Job summary

Rural Metro Fire Department in Evansville, Indiana, is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for a part-time role. The position offers hourly pay in the range of $17.00 to $20.30, with potential shift premiums for night, weekend, or evening hours.

You will respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, deliver high-quality care, and work with a team to ensure patient safety and excellent service. Valid EMT certification and CPR/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid EMT certification.
• State Driver’s License required.
• National EMT certification or ability to become nationally registered within one year.
• CPR/BLS certifications.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and determine needed emergency care.
• Document patient information while protecting confidentiality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stocked environment for patients.
• Use EMT skills with equipment and procedures.
• Drive/operate an ambulance per safety policies and laws.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.

IMMEDIATELY HIRING! EMT PART-TIME Opportunity

$17.00 - $20.30 per hour
Employees who work night, weekend, or evening shifts may be eligible for additional shift premiums.

Must have a valid EMT certification to be qualified for this position.

We’re hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) that will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities

• EMTs provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment and tools.
• EMTs operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Driver’s License
• National EMT certification or ability to become nationally registered within one year
• CPR/BLS certifications
• Driving record in compliance with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
