Job summary

LifeLine Ambulance Illinois is seeking EMTs to respond to emergency calls and deliver basic life support in a fast-paced setting. You will transport patients and continue patient care during transport, while adhering to protocols and safety regulations.

Qualifications include EMT-Basic licensure in Illinois, a current CPR card, and the ability to lift 150+ lbs. A clean driving record and successful CNEMS entry are also required, with orientation up to three days.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.
High School Diploma or GED.
Illinois Licensure as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)-Basic
Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
Skills and experience incumbent to function with proficiency at the BLS level of service.
Must successfully pass Region XI CNEMS System Entry process
Current CPR card
Consent to a criminal background check
Must be available for up to 3-day orientation class
Ability to lift/push/pull at least 150+ lbs.

Responsibilities

Respond to emergency calls and provide basic emergency and non-emergency care.
Transport patients to medical facilities while continuing care during transport.
Perform lifesaving procedures according to training.
Maintain composure in stressful situations and communicate clearly with patients and teammates.
